- Fast Tracker II does not permit 32 channels of 16 bit 44.1 khz sound to
- be played on Ultrasound cards. Reason being that the Ultrasound driver
- forces onboard mixing (i.e. the GF-1 has to do the mixing), which limits
- the mixing frequency at 32 channels to around 20khz. That is also the
- reason for the 1 meg limit; a program that would do software mixing would
- also permit as much memory useage as you have available RAM in your
- computer. I think there is a new Ultrasound, though, which also has up to 4
- megs of RAM and a faster ASIC.
